Getting started
Open an envelope
Opening it
Tap the link or scan the QR code. The page reads the envelope, decrypts the note in your browser and shows who it's from. Press Open the envelope to see the share and the note. Nothing has moved yet: the share stays sealed until you choose where it goes.
Where the share goes
From any wallet app that holds tokens on Robinhood Chain, including one you install that day.
If a wallet is already in your browser, it fills in your address.
Keep the link. The share waits in the envelope until day 30.
Who pays the fee
The link contains a private key that belongs to the envelope alone. When you choose an address, your browser signs a message with that key: open this envelope for this address. Noshi submits the signed message to the contract and pays the network fee, so you never need ETH to open a gift. If that service is ever unavailable, the page lets you submit the same message from a connected wallet yourself.
Afterwards
The share is in your wallet and behaves like any stock token: it follows the stock and receives its dividends. To sell it or send it on later, your wallet needs a little ETH for the network fee, as with any transaction you make yourself. Stock tokens are issued under their own terms and may not be available in every country; you are responsible for checking you can hold them where you live.
