Terms
In short
These terms cover your use of the Noshi website and app. By sealing or opening an envelope, you accept them. They are written to be read; if something is unclear, ask us before you use Noshi.
What Noshi is
Noshi is an interface to a public contract on Robinhood Chain that buys a stock token with USDG and holds it until it is opened with a link or returned to its sender after 30 days. Noshi is not a broker, a bank, an exchange or an investment adviser. We do not hold your funds: they move from your wallet to the contract in a transaction you sign.
Eligibility
- You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live.
- Stock tokens are issued by third parties under their own terms, and they may be restricted in some countries, including for some residents of the United States. As a sender, you are responsible for being allowed to buy them. As a recipient, you are responsible for being allowed to hold them.
- You may not use Noshi to break sanctions, launder money or defraud anyone.
The link
An envelope's link contains its private key. Whoever holds the link can open the envelope until day 30. If a link is forwarded, leaked or photographed, the envelope can be opened by someone else, and nobody, including us, can reverse that. Keep links private.
Fees
Each envelope pays 1% of its amount into the weekly pot, plus the network fee to seal it. Opening is free for the recipient; we pay that network fee. The price of the stock token is set by its Uniswap pool at the moment of the seal, within a 0.5% limit from the quote you saw.
The weekly surprise
The pot is paid each week, in USDG together with any ETH it holds, to one sender chosen by a draw weighted by the dollars each sender sealed that week, using a future block hash as the seed. There is no purchase beyond the envelope itself, no guarantee of winning, and the draw is run by the contract. Where such draws are restricted by law, you may not take part.
Risks you accept
- The value of a stock token moves with the stock. It can go down.
- The issuers of stock tokens and of USDG can pause their tokens or block addresses, including the Noshi contracts. Nothing in Noshi can override that.
- Smart contracts can contain bugs. Ours are public and have no admin key, which also means nobody can step in to fix a mistake after a transaction.
- Blockchain transactions are final.
No warranty
Noshi is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of the interface, the contracts, the chain, the tokens or your wallet. Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice.
Marks
The names and logos of companies and funds shown on Noshi belong to their owners and identify what an envelope can hold. Their display does not mean those companies endorse Noshi.
